Geography: Dubai (4,114 km²) is part of the UAE Federation established in 1971. The other six emirates are Abu Dhabi (the capital), Sharjah, Ajman, Um Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Dubai is the most populous city in the UAE by population (2.6mil)
Climate: Dubai's climate is subtropical and arid. Summers are extremely hot and humid, with an average high around 41°C and overnight lows around 30°C. Most days are sunny throughout the year.
Language: Arabic and English (mostly).

Dress code: Liberal in comparison to other states in UAE, however it should not offend by wearing outfits that could be considered provocative. Bikinis and bathing suits are allowed at the pool or beach hotels.
Visa/Passport: Singaporeans do not require advance visa arrangements to enter the UAE and can obtain a visa upon arrival for 30 days with a 10-day grace period.
