The Bali Arts Festival (June/ July)

Usually held from mid-June till mid-July, the Bali Arts Festival is a true celebration of local Balinese culture. If you would like to have a crash course experience on Balinese culture, the Festival's vibrant parades, memorable performances and traditional exhibitions are perfect for you.

Denpasar Festival (December)

Otherwise known as DenFest, Denpasar Festival is the largest open-space festival in Bali and is held annually from 28 - 31 Dec. The Festival's theme is different every year but tourists will still get a chance to have a brief introduction to Bali with the unique actvities and performances lined up. 2018's theme of the 'Urban Playground' offered vistors to explore Bali's heritage and modernity through food samples and game booths. This certainly makes us wonder what DenFest has in store for us this year.

Bali Kite Festival (July)

Here's something for the kids - the Bali Kite Festival is held yearly in July at the Sanur Beach. There, traditional giant kites are flown by teams and this colourful festival symbolizes a way of thanking the Hindu gods for an abundant harvest season. It is a massive tourist attraction whereby the locals take great pride in exhibiting their masterpieces to all.
