Confirmation, Change and Cancellation Information
What confirmation will I receive from CheapTickets once my reservation is completed?
Once you have completed your reservation through CheapTickets a "Booking Confirmation" email will be sent to the email address provided by you during your booking. Typically the "Booking Confirmation" email is received within an hour of the completion of your booking. Once your credit card charge has been authorised by your credit card company, and the ticket(s) issued, you will receive a "Ticket Confirmation" email. This email will provide you with the ticket number(s) associated with your reservation as well as a full recap of your booking. Credit card authorisation and other CheapTickets security checks can take up to 24hrs from the time the booking is completed.
NOTE: Be aware that some email accounts might send the CheapTickets "Booking Confirmation" and/or "Ticket Confirmation" email to your "junk mail" or "spam" folder. If you have not received the referenced emails within the time lines provide, check any "junk mail" or "spam" email folder for CheapTickets email communications.
How do I change or cancel my itinerary and what fees are charged for this service?
Cancel Your Ticket:
You can cancel your airline reservation; however, all airline tickets are subject to the rules and restrictions for the fare you agreed to at the time of purchase. Your ticket may be subject to severe penalties or may have no value towards future purchase if cancelled.
Change Your Ticket:
Most tickets do allow for changes to be made. All changes must be made BEFORE the original date of departure. Airline penalties of up to S$500.00/person will be accessed when changes are made. If you change your air itinerary, a new ticket must be issued. If the new fare is greater than the original fare, you must pay the fare difference in addition to the change penalty charged by the airline. Neither CheapTickets nor other travel agencies control the penalty fees set by the airline and have no authority to waive them. In addition, CheapTickets charges a S$125.00/person change/cancellation fee for the service.
Change requests made after the first travel date has passed are handled on a case by case basis. Please contact CheapTickets at +65 3158 2693 or the airline on which the change will be made.
Some tickets do not allow for any changes, even with a fee. Some types of changes are not allowed on tickets at all. Here are some general restrictions:
- You cannot change the name on an airline ticket or give the ticket to someone else to use.
- You cannot exchange a ticket from one airline to another.
- Some airlines will not allow the ticket to be reused if the original reservation was not cancelled prior to the original departure date.
In order to process your change request accurately, CheapTickets.sg has the following time requirements:
- For changes to electronic issued tickets, CheapTickets.sg requires a minimum of 4 days PRIOR to the original/new departure date to facilitate the changes.
- For changes to paper tickets issued before the change in airline policy, CheapTickets requires a minimum of 10 days PRIOR to the original/new departure date. This additional time is necessary to allow for the paper tickets to be returned to CheapTickets for changes, then sent back once changes are completed. All shipping must be done using a trackable delivery service and is at the expense of the customer.

Is my ticket refundable?
Although many of the discounted tickets issued by CheapTickets.sg are Non-Refundable, in some cases Refunds are allowed. To determine if your ticket(s) qualifies for a refund, contact our Customer Service Center at +65 3158 2693.
Can I change the routing of my existing itinerary?
The rules associated with the fares offered by CheapTickets.sg generally DO NOT allow for changes to the original routing once tickets have been issued. However, in some rare cases, the fare rules do allow for routing changes. To determine if the rules associated with your ticket allow for routing changes, please contact our Customer Care Center at +65 3158 2693.
Why was my credit card only billed for the CheapTickets.sg booking fee and not for my ticket?
CheapTickets.sg processes the booking fee, when applicable, at the time the flight reservation is made. A reservation holds the flight record but is not 'ticketed' immediately. Once the reservation is 'ticketed' the fare value will be processed on the credit card provided. This means that in some cases you could see two charges associated with your booking; one for the CheapTickets booking fee, the other for the actual airfare.
What should I do if I didn't receive a confirmation email for my reservation?
After completing your booking through CheapTickets you will see a confirmation page providing your "CheapTickets Trip ID". In addition, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided at the time of booking.
If you did not receive your confirmation email within 24 hours of booking we recommend the following:
- Check the Spam/Junk Email folder within your email account to ensure that your confirmation email was not auto-filtered to that folder. If the confirmation e-mail was placed in your spam/junk email folder we recommend adding CheapTickets to your "allowed senders" list. This will allow all future CheapTickets e-mail communications to reach you appropriately.
- Call our Customer Care Center at +65 3158 2693 and one of our Customer Care Associates will assist in getting your confirmation email to you.
Can a reservation be corrected or voided without penalty if I've made a mistake?
We understand that occasionally mistakes might be made inadvertently when using our web site. We handle these issues on a case by case basis. If you feel you have made an error in your booking please call our Customer Care Representatives at +65 3158 2693 for assistance.
How do I travel on an electronic ticket (e-ticket)?
CheapTickets.sg and the airline's computer system store your ticket number and information electronically. As a result, to check in for your flight(s), all you need to provide to the airline agent is your government issued photo ID (generally a Passport) and they will access your electronic reservation and ticket. Although not required, CheapTickets recommends printing your Ticket Confirmation email and taking it with you just in case of that rare instance where the airline agent isn't able to locate your booking information.
Do I need to reconfirm my flight before departure?
You can contact the airline twenty four (24) hours prior to departure to ensure no changes or delays have occurred. For a list of airline phone numbers, see the question "Do you have a list of airline phone numbers".
What documents do I need to pass through airport security and travel internationally?
Any time you cross an international border, you will need to provide proof of citizenship. Passport and visa requirements vary by destination and citizenship of the traveler.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct travel documents required for travel to/from all international destinations you are traveling to or through. If you do not have the required documentation you will be denied boarding at your departure point and/or into the country you are visiting. What are the limits, restrictions, and applicable fees for checked baggage?
Airline baggage policies are frequently being changed. As a result we want to provide you with the most current and up to date information possible pertaining to each airlines policy and fees.

Do I need to have my tickets reissued if the airline has made a schedule change?
In most cases, it's not necessary to have your tickets reissued if there is a schedule change made by the airline. One major value of electronic tickets is that when necessary these changes are reissued automatically. CheapTickets will make every effort to inform you of any changes to your schedule and if there is a need for you to do anything.
How do I request seat assignments?
Rules for requesting seat assiagnments vary from airline to airline and may also be determined by the type of fare you purchased. The best way to request your seat assignments is to call the airline directly. Most air fares do allow for advanced seat requests in advance. Some special fares only permit seat assignments to be made at check-in and/or on the day of departure.

What is the "Secure Flight" program?
Secure Flight is a behind-the-scenes process that the United States Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) and airlines collaborate on to compare the information you provide within your reservation against United States government watch lists. This information is required of all passengers who are booked on flights to, from or through any United States city. The additional data elements that you may be asked to provide, such as date of birth and gender, serve to better differentiate you from individuals on the U.S. government watch list.
