Oristano
About 100 kilometres from Cagliari, on the west coast of Sardinia, lies the wine town of Anoristano. The coastline in this town is much less touristy than other places in Sardinia. Here you'll also find the Nuraghe Losa, a well-preserved Bronze Age tower. From Oristano, you can pass through to Alghero and Cagliari, depending on the route you want to take.
La Maddalena
At the northern tip of Sardinia lies a small island called La Maddalena. A ferry can take you from the big island to La Maddalena in only 20 minutes. Almost all of La Maddalena consists of a national park. Therefore, the area is very beautiful. There are many activities to enjoy. There are also beaches where you can do some diving.
Nuoro
Nuoro is lovely to visit on a road trip through Sardinia. This town is not on the coast like most towns on the island. But Nuoro is very close to a huge national park known as Gennargentu. The highest point of the park is more than 1,800 metres above sea level! The nearby Orgosolo, village of bandits, is certainly also worth a visit!
