Safe Travels with China Southern Airlines

China Southern Airlines is doing their utmost to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect all passengers and employees. In order to do so, they have implemented epidemic prevention and control measures in accordance with the Civil Aviation Administration of China. If you are planning to travel soon, read on to learn about all the measures China Southern Airlines is taking to ensure your safety.

Safety Regulations On-Board

All cabin crew and front-line staff of China Southern Airlines are required to take their body temperature and fill out health forms before their shifts. They must also wear masks, disposable gloves and other protective equipment at all times. For high-risk long-distance flights, cabin crew will avoid close contact with passengers and provide the necessary on-board services. Passengers on long-haul flights will be provided with pre-packaged food and bottled water in their front seat pockets. Temperature checks will be conducted before boarding and during the flight as required.

On-board Environment

On all China Southern Airline aircrafts, the air conditioning recirculation system is equipped with a HEPA high-efficiency particulate air filter, which blocks 99.97% of baceteria and virus particles. The air filter will also disinfect and sterilise the air. After every flight, the cleaning crew will use disinfectants to wipe down passenger cabins, tray tables, handrails, restrooms and other areas that are frequently touched by passengers. On board during the flight, the cabin crew will clean the restrooms according to the number of times set by the Civil Aviation Administration.

Regulations for Passengers On-Board

Inbound passengers to China are required to undergo the pre-departure tests in Singapore. Once the application is approved, passengers can take the flight to China within 3 days. Passengers are required to wear medical surgical masks throughout the flight. If you choose to wear N95 masks, please use the model without the breathing valve. Before boarding, temperature checks will be conducted using contactless temperature detection equipment. Passengers who show symptoms of a fever will not be allowed to board.
