This year’s meat-mad maestros include Argentinian-inspired rockabillies Elvis Abrahanowicz and Ben Milgate (Porteño, Sydney), Canadian hunter-gatherer Michael Hunter (Antler Kitchen & Bar, Canada) and award-winning Adelaide forager Duncan Welgemoed, known for his contemporary South African style (Africola, Adelaide).

Watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean as you enjoy a cocktail especially created for the closing party by new wave mixologist Vijay Mudaliar, owner of Singapore’s most imaginative cocktail bar, Native and winner of the Most Creative Cocktail Bar at The Bar Awards Singapore 2017. Vijay’s particular passion is incorporating native ingredients into his creations, and you can expect some interesting WA native and foraged ingredients in the mix.
Located in the immaculately-kept grounds of Leeuwin Estate Winery, The Gourmet Village lies at the heart of what makes Gourmet Escape such a compelling event for food and wine lovers alike.
Over the weekend of Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November (11am-6pm), Leeuwin Estate will echo to the sound of festival-goers having a damned fine time.
It’s where our visiting chefs come to discover Margaret River’s famed local produce and wine, and it’s where the best of the State’s food professionals and producers showcase what makes Western Australia such an awesome place to eat and drink.
We’re beyond delighted that Nigel and Dorothy Gallop have once again agreed to open the doors of their private Georgian mansion and grounds to guests of Gourmet Escape.
This year’s exclusive soirée promises to be a very special event, filled with elegance and magic. Playful live entertainment, pop-up surprises (ssh – we can’t tell you about them yet) and the rare opportunity to visit this fabulously grand home will make it an evening to remember.
