What to do in Fuzhou

Visit Xichan Temple

What you definitely should do in Fuzhou, is visit one of the Xichan Temple. The ancient temple dates back to the Tang Dynasty. It is located west of Fuzhou at the foot of the Yi Mountain.

Go to the 'Three lanes and Seven alleys'

In the middle of downtown Fuzhou, you can find an area of ancient residential buildings. There are about 150 houses with courtyards from the Ming Dynasty and there are weekly performances of local opera by Fuzhou retirees.

Explore Drum Hill

'Drum Hill' got its name because a large smooth drum-like stone stands at the top of the hill. It is said that when it storms the stone would rumble as if it were a real drum. The hill itself has beautiful sceneries and Yongquan temple, which was built more than 1000 years ago.
